Grandvue is a county owned medical care facility that offers skilled nursing care to our residents on a 24-hour basis.  We have a secure neighborhood that specializes in care for those with memory deficits, and we also offer long term and rehabilitative care.

 

We are owned by Charlevoix County and governed by the Department of Human Services Board of Charlevoix County.

 

Yes.  In case of a waiting list for Grandvue, priority is given to residents of Charlevoix County ; but we do have residents from many counties throughout Michigan .

Grandvue owns and operates a shuttle bus and van.  We have a Certified Nurse Aide on staff to schedule and transport residents to medical appointments.  Up to 10 residents can attend outings in our new bus, and we are grateful for the services of the Charlevoix County Transit for larger groups.

 

We offer a variety of activities every day:  from bingo tournaments to Bible study and movie premiers.  Our residents attend community festivals, shop at the local farmers’ markets, and dine out at area restaurants.  We are always on the lookout for new locales and activities, and our residents are our greatest source for new ideas.  Click here to see our current activity calendars.

 

No.    Following the Public Health guidelines, residents must get all medications from our contracted pharmacy.

 

Yes.  As long as furnishings fit within the dimensions of the room and do not hamper resident care or movement, residents are welcome to decorate their new homes according to personal taste.

 

Small pets are welcome to visit the facility with friends and family members. 

 

Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurances are welcome.

 

An individual’s care needs must meet the skilled nursing care criteria in order for Medicare and secondary insurance to pay.
