Oral Sutliff,
current Charlevoix County Department of Human Services Board Chair, has served our facility since 2004. Mr. Sutliff has an associate’s degree in accounting from
Northwestern
College
in
Traverse City
. He has banking and private practice experience and managed the county-wide transit system until his retirement in 2003. Mr. Sutliff also serves on the
Boyne
City
Airport
Board and has been a member of the
Boyne
City
Volunteer Fire Department since 1962. In 2006 Mr. Sutliff was elected to the Boyne City High School Alumni Hall of Fame.
Thomas Ford Conlan
is currently serving his third 3-year term as the Governor’s Appointee to the Charlevoix County Department of Human Services Board. Mr. Conlan served our country as the Commanding Officer of the USCGC
Mesquite
from 1986-1989, and he retired from the
United States
Coast Guard as LCDR in 1991. Mr. Conlan has a Masters of Science in Finance from the US Naval Postgraduate School in Monterrey, California and has been the General Manager of the Belvedere Club and Golf Club in Charlevoix since 1992. Mr. Conlan has also served as Chairman of the Board for the Charlevoix Area Chamber of Commerce for two years.
Ronald L. Moore
became a member of the Charlevoix County Department of Human Services Board in 2007. Mr. Moore holds a bachelor’s degree in education, a master’s degree in guidance and counseling, and an education specialist’s degree in school psychology from
Western
Michigan
University
. He has experience as a mathematics classroom teacher and school counselor in the Grand Rapids/Lowell area and retired from his position of school psychologist for the
Charlevoix-Emmet
Intermediate
School District
. Mr. Moore has also lectured in the psychology and behavioral sciences departments of
North
Central
Michigan
College
and
Lake Superior
State
University
. Mr. Moore is also on the Board of Directors of the Michigan Association of School Psychologists and has served as a trustee on the Charlevoix Public Schools Board of Education and is the Director of the Charlevoix Lions Club. He received the Liberty Bell Award from the Emmet-Charlevoix Bar Association in 1981, a Service Award from the Charlevoix Public Schools in 1988, and an Exceptional Service Award from the Charlevoix County Sheriff Department in 1987.
Joel Evans
has been Grandvue’s Commissioner Liaison since January 1, 2007. A business owner, Mr. Evans also serves on the Sanitary Code Board of Appeals and the Northwest Michigan Community Health Agency Board.
